The Malaysian Association of South India (MASI) was initiated by the former Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai and officially launched by the former Prime Minister of Malaysia in 2017.

MASI serves as a strategic non-profit platform connecting Malaysia with the southern region of India — promoting trade, investment, education, cultural exchange and community welfare across two regions with deep historical ties.
